Embassy of Switzerland

The Embassy of Switzerland to India in New Delhi covers all matters concerning diplomatic relations between the two countries. It represents Swiss interests in the areas of political, economic, financial and legal affairs, as well as science, education and culture.

When it comes to economic affairs, the Embassy is committed to promote the best possible framework conditions for the more than 300 Swiss companies doing business in India. The Embassy maintains contacts at all levels of the Indian administration. Furthermore, the Embassy contributes to a vibrant exchange between Swiss and Indian economic actors of the private and public sectors with the organization of high level meetings, delegation visits and networking events.

In the case that a Swiss company faces an issue while doing business in India and exhausted all possible solutions by itself, the Embassy together with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO evaluates the situation and decides whether the conditions for support are given. Swiss companies in India are asked to get in touch with the Embassy, those in Switzerland with the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs SECO.

To provide insights about the Indian economy, the Embassy releases annually the Economic Report of India which is uploaded on the Embassy’s webpage: Report of the Embassy of Switzerland
