President Doris Leuthard to pay a presidential visit to India

Bern- Ms Doris Leuthard will pay a presidential visit to India on 31 August and 1 September. On the agenda are talks with President Ram Nath Kovind, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and a number of other ministers. President Leuthard will also be attending a number of business events and will take part in celebrations marking the 70th anniversary of the Treaty of Friendship between Switzerland and India. The aim of the visit is to further deepen the close cooperation that already exists in many areas. President Leuthard was invited to pay a state visit to the Republic of India.
