Following the Swiss Parliament’s approval of the TEPA (Free Trade Agreement) between EFTA/Switzerland and India on March 21, 2025, the agreement is set to take effect this fall—unless a referendum intervenes. This milestone marks the beginning of a transformative chapter in economic relations between Switzerland and India. The agreement grants Swiss companies simplified and preferential access to one of the world’s largest and fastest-growing markets, fostering both trade and investment. Given the current geopolitical landscape, Switzerland must now fully capitalize on India’s economic momentum and the opportunities it offers.
