A Year into TEPA: Building a Presence in India
November 23 @ 08:15 - 11:30

Our member EY is hosting an expert session “A Year into TEPA: Building a Presence in India”, exploring the opportunities and practical considerations for Swiss businesses looking to enter or expand in India.
The Swiss Indian Chamber of Commerce is pleased to invite you to join an in-person session in Zurich on November 23.
A year into the Trade and Economic Partnership Agreement (TEPA), India is opening up new opportunities for Swiss businesses across an increasingly diverse range of sectors.
But entering or expanding in India also raises practical questions: What is the right way to enter the market? When does it make sense to establish an own presence? And how should tax, regulatory, substance and treaty considerations influence the operating model?
This session will address these questions from a practical perspective, covering developing India investment avenues, entry models ranging from pilot arrangements to an established presence, and the key tax and regulatory implications of different structures.
Bringing together experts and professionals from EY and SICC, the sessions are designed for Swiss businesses considering India, scaling existing activities, or reassessing whether their current India operating model remains fit for purpose.
