36th AGM & Movie Night
September 30, 2021 @ 15:30 - 22:30
36th Annual General Meeting cum Panel Discussion on Healthcare post Pandemic followed by an Indian Networking Dinner and the ZFF Indian Movie Night
If there is anything that we learnt the hard way in the last year and half, it’s the age old saying: health is wealth. The pandemic ripped open gaps in our healthcare systems the world over. We are in fact still scrambling to tackle the invisible monster called Covid-19 which has unleashed havoc in our lives. The questions then surface, would we have saved precious human lives had we been better prepared? How do we brace ourselves for future healthcare challenges?
We address these very pertinent questions and more at this year’s panel discussion and bring in experts from the healthcare industry who will address the extremely important subject of ‘Healthcare post pandemic – learnings, outlook and next challenges’ on Thursday, 30th of September 2021, at Mascotte, Bellevue, Zurich.
This will be followed by the Swiss Premiere of a very special Swiss-Indian-British film at the Indian Movie Night at the Zurich Film Festival – Kavita & Teresa — a Swiss-Indian-British feature film, whose budget has been generated completely by donations from individuals and foundations. Additionally, the entire revenue from the movie will be dedicated to the poorest children to support their education and healthcare.
Kamal Musale, a talented Swiss-Indian filmmaker has written the screenplay and is the director of this production. The film tells the stories of the lives of two passionate and uncompromising women who follow the call of their lives despite immense doubts. The interwoven narration of the stories of these two women provides us an insight into a new dimension of Teresa-the woman behind the saint. That Mother Teresa did not waver from her chosen path despite losing her faith inspires the young Kavita, a young British woman of Indian heritage, to discover love and compassion in Kolkata. The Kavita & Teresa film inspires people to follow the dreams and visions they believe in even in moments of doubt and to work towards humanity and justice.
KAVITA & TERESA will be presented at the ‘Indian Movie Night’ at the ZFF (Zurich Film Festival) as a Swiss Premiere.
