Celebrating the 70th Anniversary of the Swiss-Indian Friendship Treaty – Friendship Ambassadors

The Swiss Embassy in New Delhi celebrated both the Swiss National Day and the 70th Anniversary of the Swiss-Indian Friendship Treaty, which was signed on the 14th of August, 1948. During an evening ceremony held at the Embassy, the Head of the Swiss Federal Department of Foreign Affairs, Federal Councillor Dr. Ignazio Cassis, honored eight Friendship Ambassadors who have contributed towards strengthening Swiss-Indian relations through their innovative ideas in their respective fields.
