SUMMARY:Countering Counterfeiting
DESCRIPTION:Trademarks and brands are important parts of intellectual property rights (IPR). Replacing the original products with counterfeits/fake/pirated products of inferior quality affects a brand’s image and prospects in the market. With the covid19 pandemic afflicting the world\, the situation has worsened\, at least in some sectors. But counterfeits are also an issue for many other sectors and not in relation with the covid19 pandemic alone. \nTo discuss this\, the Embassy of Switzerland\, together with the Swiss Indian Chamber of Commerce India (SICC) and K&S Partners (Intellectual Property Attorneys)\, is organizing a virtual panel discussion on “Countering Counterfeits”. The webinar will highlight and discuss issues ranging from counterfeit imports\, to counterfeit products for sale on online platforms in India.
