DESCRIPTION:We invite you to attend our exclusive webinar presentation on “How the EU and Swiss businesses can leverage trademark protection and enforcement in India”. Trademarks and brands are important parts of intellectual property rights (IPR). India is a preferred destination for Foreign Direct Investments (FDI). Along with this\, foreign brands are more and more present in India. With this\, infringements of trademark-protected products and services increase. For European and Swiss businesses that operate in the Indian market or plan to enter it\, it is essential to be aware of trademark protection. The Embassy of Switzerland\, together with the European Business and Technology Center (EBTC)\, in association with Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce in India (SICCI) and knowledge partners Anand and Anand\, K&S Partners (experts in Trademark\, Intellectual Property Laws)\, is organizing a virtual panel discussion to exchange best practices on the issue. The webinar aims to explore whether it is necessary for a European / Swiss business to register a trademark in India\,  what are the legal  measures against trademark infringement or counterfeiting or how does the Indian Customs Authority help the trademark holders in enforcing their IPR?
