DESCRIPTION:The Global Business Initiative on Human Rights (GBI) is pleased to invite business practitioners to a workshop on conducting human rights due diligence in supply chains in India. Please find below the details of the workshop:\n\nDate: Thursday\, 10th August\, 2023\n\nTime: 2:00pm to 5:00pm\n\nVenue: Swissnex in India\, Consulate General of Switzerland\, Bangalore\n\nThe workshop is supported by the Swiss Embassy in India and a networking reception will follow the workshop at the Swissnex in India\, Consulate General of Switzerland. The workshop is held in collaboration with the Swiss-Indian Chamber of Commerce India.\n\n Session objectives:\n\n 	Provide an update on global legal developments on human rights due diligence\n 	Understand best practices in engaging suppliers\n 	Explore challenges related to conducting human rights due diligence beyond auditing and getting beyondTier 1\n\nThe session will explore going beyond auditing practices in the context of human rights due diligence\, as well as engaging deeper in the supply chain.\n\nWhy participate in this workshop?\n\nIncreasingly\, conducting human rights due diligence on a business’ operations and activities\, including their supply chain\, is becoming a matter of legal compliance.
