Amongst the various changes introduced is the new chapter dedicated to product liability\, which determines the roles and responsibilities for each stakeholder across the product supply chain. In addition\, the new law also establishes a consumer watchdog – the Central Consumer Protection Authority (CCPA) – entrusted with protecting and enforcing consumer rights as a class. Will the new regime bring about an increase in product liability claims? What enforcement activities can be expected of the CCPA?
